Jorge Castillo: We can always tell when a Cuban restaurant is run by real Cubans. The service is friendly, the décor is authentic, and the food tastes great!

Glenn Lindgren: Mambo's Cafe is very open and inviting with a bright décor in this suburban Atlanta strip mall.

Jorge Castillo: Mambo's Cafe is mostly Cuban, but with several Peruvian dishes. They have a very extensve menu with so many of the classic dishes!

Glenn Lindgren: We love starting out every meal with an appetizer. One unique item here is the “Cazuelita Barcelona,” which is shrimp, calamari, octopus, mussels, Spanish chorizo, and fresh mushrooms all grilled with garlic and olive oil. Delicious!

Jorge Castillo: Good ceviche is usually hard to find. At Mambo's they make two excellent versions, one with just fish, lime juice, red onions, and cilantro and a Ceviche Mixto, that adds fresh seafood to the mix.

Glenn Lindgren: For lunch, they have an excellent selection of sandwiches – everything from the classic Cuban pan con bistec, pan con pollo, pan con boliche, even a delicious pan con filete grouper.

Raúl Musibay: Mambo's has one of my favorite sandwiches: the croqueta preparada. Here they call is a “Special Croquette Sandwich,” but it's the same sandwich I love with a couple of fresh, hot croroast pork, ham, cheese, and pickles to the basic croqueta on bread.

Glenn Lindgren: Dinners are where Mambo's really shines. You can't go wrong with the Mambo Mixed Grill, a golden opportunity to sample churrasco steak, mojo chicken breast, Spanish chorizo, and tenderloin pork.

Raúl Musibay: They serve a mojo glazed boneless, skinless chicken breast glazed with a sauce of lime, garlic and guava.

Glenn Lindgren: If you like fish, you won't be disappointed. The "Grouper en Salsa Verde con Camarones" is a real standout featuring a grilled grouper fillet topped with shrimp in a garlic, wine, and parsley cream sauce.

Jorge Castillo: For those who can't make up their minds, why not order “Mambo's Seafood Festival?” You get everything – shrimp, scallops, calamari, mussels, plus the fish of the day, all served in a traditional enchilado sauce.

Raúl Musibay: Some great Peruvian choices here, especially the “Tallarin Verde,” linguine sautéed in olive oil and pesto sauce with your choice of protein: chicken, churrasco steak, or bistec apanado.

Jorge Castillo: Also the "Bistec Apanado con Tacu-Tacu," mixed rice and refried beans with pan-fried breaded steak.

Glenn Lindgren: The only thing in short supply here? Desserts. If you clean your generously portioned plate, you might not have room for any!
