Glenn Lindgren: If you are flying out of Newark airport, we're going to let you in on a little secret.
Jorge Castillo: Why starve on that foodless flight...
Glenn Lindgren: ... or even worse, pay high airport prices for a brown bag snack ...
Jorge Castillo: ... when you can pick up a delicious Cuban sandwich to take along on your flight?

Glenn Lindgren: The Madison Deli is located practically in the shadow of the airport. Smart travelers make a quick stop here before turning in their rental car.
Raúl Musibay: They have some great sandwiches here, all packed neatly for airline travel.
Jorge Castillo: Choose from the classic Cuban sandwich, the medianoche, the pan con bistec, and the pernil sandwiches. The pernil is made with a good quality ham and a tangy garlic sauce.
Glenn Lindgren: I love a great croqueta or papa preparada sandwich. On the croqueta, ham croquettes are smashed with slices of ham and Swiss cheese on Cuban bread. The papa preparada gets the same treatment, only with papa rellenas.
Jorge Castillo: You also can put together a great meal with one of the sandwiches, and two or three of the side orders that are ideal for eating in that cramped airline seating.

Glenn Lindgren: You'll be the envy of your fellow travelers! While they're chomping on a micro-pack of stale pretzels, you'll be munching happily on a Cuban sandwich, feasting on a delicious Cuban tamal, or enjoying a beef empandilla -- the perfect finger food.
Raúl Musibay: A bag of tostones is the perfect snack for airline travel.
Jorge Castillo: Pick up a refreshing batido to drink on the drive to the airport.
