Now open for lunch only in the summer, Virtually Cuban brings some great Cuban cooking to the Gainesville area. With a variety of Cuban sandwiches and some of the classic dishes of Cuban cuisine, Virtually Cuban is an oasis in the middle of "hardly any Cuban land" in this part of Northern Florida.

Locals swear by the palomilla steaks here and the fricase de pollo is just about as good as it gets. Order a pan con bistec and a cold Materva, close your eyes and you'll think you're in the heart of Little Havana.

The restaurant recently started getting pastelitos (Cuban pastries) shipped up from Miami. If you have been craving these bakery treats, stop in early before they run out.
